The Jaguar XF is a mid-sized sports luxury car produced by Jaguar. It is a replacement model to Jaguar S-Type luxury version.

The Jaguar XF is the base model that comes equipped with normal standard amenities, while the XFR is a high performance version that comes with additional advanced luxury features. The sports luxury model is intended mainly for North American market.

The four door sports luxury car, Jaguar XF combines the sophistication, space and refinement of a luxury car with the performance of a sports model. The new model offers impressive exterior styling and to compliment it, the interior is also offered in the same manner, with comfort leg and head room.

Present Models

The present Jaguar XF is offered in three trim versions, the base model XF, Supercharged and Premium. In addition, it also offers high performance XFR model.

The Jaguar XF model comes equipped with 4.2 liter supercharged engine and the other engine available to the model include 5.0 liter AJ-V8 version that delivers 464 hp of power. The standard features in the model include silver gray painted active differential control, adaptive dynamics, contrast color twin needle stitching on the instrument panel, rick oak veneer, HD radio, 20 inch triple spoke style alloy wheels, quad polished exhaust tailpipes 440W Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system and Jaguar Suede cloth premium headlining.

The other engines available to the luxury model include 2.7 liter V6 twin turbocharged diesel, 3.0 liter V6 petrol and 4.2 liter V8 petrol models. With the 2.7L V6 engine, the sports car can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 7.7 seconds, while with 3.0L V8 and 4.2L versions it can accelerate in 8.3 and 6.5 seconds respectively. The top speed of the model is electronically limited to 155 miles per hour. With the V8 engine, the sports luxury model can achieve fuel economy of 16 miles per gallon in the city premises and 22 miles per gallon on the highway roads.

The key features that attract potential customers towards the Jaguar XF model include passenger and cargo room, acceleration, and interior materials. The starting price of the sports luxury car is around $68,000 MSRP and the model went on sale from October, 2009.

Jaguar XFR

The Jaguar XFR is high performance version of XF. The standard engine to the model include 5.0 liter supercharged AJ-V8 version that generates 503 hp of power.

Apart from the standard amenities, it comes featured with additional accessories like hood with XKR louvers, larger lower grille, unique body colored lower spoiler, full soft grain leather interior, and adjustable sports seats. The high performance version was unveiled at North American International Auto Show in 2009.
